Maison Arti is operated by AKG Digital Solutions LLC, 75 E 3rd St, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("Maison Arti", "we", "us" or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you visit maisonartihome.com, make a purchase, contact us or otherwise interact with our store (together, the "Services"). We currently sell and ship to customers in the United States only.

Our store is hosted on Shopify. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If this Privacy Policy conflicts with our Terms of Service, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to personal information. For privacy questions or requests, email support@maisonartihome.com.

1. Personal information we collect

"Personal information" means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you or your household. It does not include information that has been de-identified or aggregated so that it can no longer identify you. Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

Contact details: name, email address, phone number, billing address and shipping address.
Order and transaction information: products you view, add to your cart, buy, return, exchange or cancel; order numbers; order totals; delivery and tracking details; and your purchase history.
Payment information: payment method, transaction status and reference, and limited card details such as card type and the last four digits. Full card numbers and security codes are entered on the secure checkout and handled by our payment processors. We do not see or store your complete card number.
Account information: if you create an account, your login details, saved addresses, preferences and order history.
Communications: the content of emails and messages you send us, including photos you choose to share when reporting a damaged or defective item.
Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, approximate location inferred from your IP address, pages viewed, links clicked, referring website, search terms, and the date and time of your visits.
Marketing and advertising information: whether you subscribed to our emails, whether you opened them, and information about how you reached our site, such as an ad you clicked.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, health information or precise geolocation, and we do not use personal information to infer characteristics about you.

2. Where we get personal information

Directly from you: when you browse the site, place an order, create an account, subscribe to emails or contact us.
Automatically: from your browser or device through cookies, pixels and similar technologies when you use the Services.
From service providers: for example, Shopify, payment processors, fraud-prevention tools and shipping carriers, which may provide payment status, fraud signals and delivery updates.
From advertising and analytics partners: for example, information about the ad or campaign that brought you to our site.

3. How we use personal information

To provide the Services and fulfill orders: to process payments, ship products, send order and shipping confirmations, provide tracking, and handle returns, exchanges, refunds and cancellations.
To communicate with you: to answer questions, provide customer support and send important notices about your order or our policies.
For marketing: to send product news and offers by email if you have subscribed, and to show you relevant ads on other websites and platforms, including Google, based on your activity on our site.
To understand and improve our store: to measure site traffic, see which pages and products are popular, fix problems and improve the shopping experience.
For security and fraud prevention: to verify transactions, detect and prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized access, and protect our customers and business.
For legal reasons: to comply with applicable laws, tax and accounting requirements and lawful requests from authorities, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

4. Cookies, pixels and similar technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies to:

keep your cart and checkout working and remember your preferences (strictly necessary);
measure how visitors use our site (analytics);
measure the performance of our ads and show you relevant ads on other sites (advertising), including through Google advertising and measurement tools.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site, such as the cart and checkout, may not work without strictly necessary cookies. You can control personalized Google ads at Google Ad Settings and learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Global Privacy Control: if you visit our site with the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal enabled, we treat it as a request to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and targeted advertising for that browser or device, where required by applicable law. Other than GPC, we do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

5. How we disclose personal information

We disclose personal information only as described in this policy:

Service providers that help us run our business, such as Shopify (e-commerce platform and hosting), payment processors, fulfillment partners and shipping carriers, email and customer-support tools, cloud storage, and fraud-prevention services. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
Advertising and analytics partners, such as Google, to measure and improve our ads and to show you ads based on your activity on our site. These partners use information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
With your direction or consent, for example when you ask us to send an order to another person.
For legal reasons and business transfers: to comply with the law, respond to valid legal requests, enforce our terms, protect our rights and the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, sharing information with advertising partners for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some US state privacy laws. You can opt out at any time, as described in section 7.

6. Our relationship with Shopify

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your use of the Services in order to provide and improve them. Information you submit is transmitted to and stored by Shopify and its service providers, which may be located outside your state or country. Shopify may also use information about your interactions with our store and other merchants to provide features such as fraud prevention and, where enabled, personalized advertising; for those purposes, Shopify is responsible for the processing. 7. Your privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia, you may have some or all of the following rights:

Right to know and access: to request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you, how we use it and with whom we share it.
Right to delete: to request that we delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
Right to correct: to request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
Right to portability: to receive a copy of your personal information in a usable format.
Right to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising: you can opt out at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page or by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser.
Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information: we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would give rise to this right.
Right to opt out of marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We will still send messages about your orders.

How to make a request: email support@maisonartihome.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and tell us which right you wish to exercise. To protect your information, we will verify your identity, usually by matching the email address and order details you provide with our records. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we will ask the agent for proof of your authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly with us. We will respond within the time required by law, which is generally 45 days.

Appeals: if we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line "Privacy Appeal". If you are not satisfied with the result of your appeal, you may contact your state Attorney General.

No discrimination: we will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices or provide a different level of service because you exercised your privacy rights.

8. Additional information for California residents

In the past 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information described in section 1: identifiers (such as name, email and IP address); customer records (such as address and phone number); commercial information (such as purchase history); internet or other electronic network activity; approximate geolocation; and inferences about your product interests. We collect them from the sources described in section 2, use them for the purposes described in section 3, and disclose them to the categories of recipients described in section 5. Identifiers, commercial information and internet activity may be shared with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

California's "Shine the Light" law allows California residents to request information about the disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

9. Email and text messages

If you subscribe to our emails, we will send you product news and offers until you unsubscribe. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. We do not currently send marketing text messages; if we offer them in the future, we will ask for your express consent before sending them, and you will be able to opt out by replying STOP.

10. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Order and payment records are kept for as long as needed to fulfill orders, handle returns and warranty issues, and meet tax, accounting and legal obligations. Customer-support messages are kept while needed to resolve your request and any related issue. If you unsubscribe from marketing, we keep a record of your email address so that we do not contact you again. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and a checkout hosted by Shopify, which is certified as compliant with PCI DSS. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information, such as full card numbers, by email.

12. Children's privacy

The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. International processing

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process personal information in the United States or other countries. Where information is processed outside the United States, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected in accordance with this policy.

14. Third-party websites

Our site may contain links to third-party websites and platforms, such as social networks or carrier tracking pages. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by law.
